Who we are
Own For My Rent is a home-affordability estimating tool operated by Orlando X. Nieves Adorno, a licensed Massachusetts real estate agent affiliated with RE/MAX Synergy. Questions about this policy, or requests about your information, can be sent to the contact details at the bottom of this page.
What we collect
Only what you type in, plus basic technical information:
- Search details you enter — your current monthly rent, the cash you have available, your town, your chosen search radius, and an optional estimated credit-score range. These are used to calculate estimates and to find listings.
- Contact details, only if you submit the form — your name, phone number, email address, preferred contact method, and any message you write.
- A campaign code if you arrived by scanning a QR code. This identifies which flyer or mailer you came from. It does not identify you, and we do not put your name, address, or contact details in any link.
- Basic technical information — your browser's user-agent string, and your IP address, which is used for rate limiting and to reduce spam submissions.
We do not collect your Social Security number, date of birth, bank details, or an actual credit report. The optional credit-score range is a rough self-estimate you choose from a list — it is never verified and never pulled.
How we use it
- To calculate the estimates shown to you and to find matching listings.
- To respond to you when you ask to be contacted.
- To understand which campaigns bring people to the site, in aggregate.
- To protect the site from spam and abuse.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third-party advertisers or lead brokers.
Where it is stored
Submissions are stored on Cloudflare's platform, which hosts this site. If you ask to be contacted, your details may also be forwarded to the tools used to manage client enquiries so that someone actually follows up with you.
Listing information shown on this site is supplied by a third-party property-data provider. Your personal details are never sent to that provider — we only ask it for listings in a town.
Cookies and storage
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. It uses your browser's session storage to remember your search while you move between pages. That data stays on your device and is cleared when you close the tab.
Fonts and icons are loaded from Google Fonts and Cloudflare's CDN, which may log the request as part of delivering those files.
Your choices
You can browse and use the calculator without giving any contact details. If you have sent us your details and want them corrected or deleted, contact us and we will do so. If you ask us to stop contacting you, we will stop.
Text messages and calls
If you provide a phone number and ask to be contacted, you may receive a call or text about your enquiry. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to a text at any time to stop receiving them.
Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
